Fall Adventures Part 1

It was such a beautiful weekend last weekend so we took Lilly to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins for carving!  One large (Daddy,) one medium (Mommy,) and one small (Lilly!)  We had to wake her up once we arrived at the pumpkin patch so she wasn't the most very alert, but I think she likes being outside!  It is so amazing to watch her see and discover new things because she is so mezmorized.  Lilly and her daddy wondered around and looked at all the decorations and she really liked the dancing witch.  She just stared and stared in amazement at the witch like it was the most amazing thing she had ever seen:)  I picked out the pumpkins and put them in our wagon and we were off.  Can't wait to paint and carve!!

One of my former students gave Lilly the cutest outfit at a baby shower last year and I thought I should probably get some photos of her wearing it before she gets to big!  It is the cutest tutu and black tank top.  I added the ruffle socks that Whitney gave her and she was ready to go:)  Lilly still isn't smiling on command so I just chalk it up to her practicing her "America's Next Top Model" serious face...that's our girl!  Either way, I think that she looks cute and the pictures are adorable!

Lillys' Aunt Kate and Uncle Pete babysat while Bobby and I went out last Saturday night and I think they did an excellent job!  They gave her a bath, her medicine, and got her to bed with relatively few problems.  I think they should watch her EVERY saturday night...ha!

GO TITANS!!!  I can already tell that Lilly is a HUGE Titans fan!  She loves watching the game with us on Sunday wearing her Titan's cheerleading outfit or her Titan's tee and bluejean bloomers.  When it get's a little cooler she can start wearing the addorable jean overalls her Gram bought for her!  Gramps bought her the Colts (yuk) pacifiers, but for some reason she cries everytime I try to give it to her...sorry Ray!

Until next week...

Our Fall Break

So many fun things have happened during our Fall Break this week!  We had fun visits with Grandma (Chris) and Grandpa (Ray) over the weekend and then Nana (Belle) stayed with us on Thursday night so Bobby and I could go out...thanks momma!

Well I really wanted her to start sleeping in her big girl bed (crib) this week, but since she is just getting over a cold that woke her up two to three times a night for the past few weeks, I decided to give it a few more days.  She has about two days left on the antibiotic.  I know what you are thinking "excuses excuses," but really it is going to be hard to have her all the way upstairs and so far away, so give me a break!! I might...yes might...try it tonight, but I make no promises.  We also needs get the monitor system set up.  It is a really good one (thanks Ray and Chris) so I know that once she is in her room I will have full Lilly coverage!  I suppose I should be nice and wait until Kate and Pete aren't living in the room right next to her nursery, but that's the price they pay for living with a 15 week old...sorry guys!

On another note she has officially found her "tootsies" this week and she can't stop grabbing them!  It is so cute!  I will give Ray some credit for playing Patty Cake with her feet everyday while they were here.  Not one hour after he and Chris left to go back to Indiana, she just reached down and grabbed her toes and now she can't help her self.  Lilly loves to lay on the changing table...weird right?  She will just look up at you and "goo" and blow spit bubbles and smile.  My heart just melts:)  Laying on the changing table was where I discovered her new trick and of course I think she is the smartest baby alive!!  Next stop is pulling her socks off...which she is already trying to do!

Our neighborhood had it's fall yard sales last weekend and I found an "Exersaucer" for Lilly and it was only $4!!  She seems to like it, but just like everything else she will only stay occupied with it for about 10 minutes and then it is on the the next thing.  We also tried out the play gym that Patty gave to her and she likes it pretty well too!

After much debate, we decided Lilly would be a Chili Pepper for Halloween!  Even though she can't eat candy and won't actually go trick-or-treating we never miss an opportunity to dress her up in some crazy cute getup!

Until next week...

Our First Post

So excited to start this blog about our beautiful baby girl Lilly Isabell Juechter!  She is 14 weeks old and the most beautiful and amazing thing to happen to us.

There have been so many things to happen and so many obstacles to overcome already in her 14 week life, but it has totally been worth it!

She was born on July 2nd, at 2:07 p.m. after 12 hours of labor.  I went into labor at 2 a.m. on Thursday morning and I wasn't sure if I was in labor and neither was my husband Bobby (the best husband ever,) so we waited and timed and decided at 4 a.m. when the contractions were 2 minutes apart that we had better hit the road:)  We called all the "future grandparents" and they also hit the road.

I'll have to be honest, I was not a fan of pregnancy, but my labor went really well and our little miracle was born healthy and perfect!  The first 5 weeks after coming home were not great and we struggled with nursing an milk production and blah, blah, blah, but we are settled way more confident as parents.

Lilly started daycare at 8 weeks when I had to go back to work and I love the ladies who take care of her.  It was by far the hardest thing I have ever done when I had to hand my 8 week old baby over to virtual strangers.  My heart was broken all week long, but now I think it was the best thing.  We did have an "incident" a couple of weeks ago where Lilly got scratched by another child, but she lived through it and has officially been in her first brawl at school..hehehe!

Really excited about Halloween!  Until next time...
